Other animal allergies may have something to do with stings and bites and these are different from pet dander allergy.

The best way to control and manage pet allergies is to avoid exposure to animals that can trigger the allergic reaction. Avoidance is basically not exposing yourself to furry animals or animals that you know will likely cause and allergic reaction to you. If exposure to these kinds of animals is unavoidable, always bring with you medication that can control pet allergies. For people allergic to animals, it is best to keep your home free from them if you can.

Medication for pet allergies varies depending on what the doctor will give you. Antihistamines and corticosteroids are among the most common medication given for pet allergies. Both drugs can manage and control the inflammation of the nasal passageways as well as control the reaction that allergic people have. Asthma medication may be more potent that medication used for common allergic reaction to pet allergies. Medication is usually prescribed for people with pet allergies who usually have unavoidable contact with animals.
